Fishing the Fence River, Michigan Upper Peninsula
From the confluence of its East and West Branches down to the Michigamme Reservoir, the French River in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula offers 12 miles of designated blue ribbon trout fishing. The main fish is the brook trout and they can reach up to 18 inches in this great stream. While the French River flows thru National Forest land there are only a couple confusing dirt roads giving access. The fishing pressure is fairly low for a stream of this quality.

Hey could you take this video down? The fence is not capable of having tons of fisherman catching and keeping fish. It is completely natural fish and is not stocked. The traffic as well up there screws up wildlife and people who live or hunt up there
What time of year is your favorite for big brookies in this area?
Great video! What month was it filmed?
