This is my first Baitcasting reel>>>allabout.wiki/mgk4 and I could not be happier. I bought this reel to fluke from a kayak and it’s my go to for that but it’s capable of so much more. Love this reel. Smooth and well built.
Trying to figure out the location in the background
just want to ask, the way you're spooling with braid, will it cause line twists?
Is that on the port hacking mate?
Ive never had a problem with my braided line spinning on my spool.
Am I the only one who use teeth to hold the line while spooling ?! It much easier
I use electrical tape as a backing or masking tape but also wet the line before spooling this way it beds down better
My method is to wrap the braided line around the spool 4 times (leaving about 3 or 4 inches for the tag end) and tie it securely to the spool, then tie the tag end around the "line clip." (Keeps the line from slipping) Feed it through the guides and I also tie a swivel to the end to facilitate quick changes from lures to bait rigs. I've never encountered a problem in all my years of fishing, but too each his own. Whatever method works best for a fisherman's personal needs.
Love your YouTube channel I registered interest for your DVD. Hope to see more.
video on how to do it please would be better
Electric tape is the fastest way and works great. The braid bites down and prevents all slippage. Yes you should use that method
Can I put electric tape on the spool instead of mono line..? which one work best though?
Hey mate, great idea.. we'll definitely give it a try
Very interesting but try this way, so much better.Put the braid on a spare reel, set the drag so as you lift the reel by the line the drag slips. Then drop the reel in bucket of water and attach the braid to the reel you wanna load, best done with the reel you wanna load fixed to a rod. This way the braid goes on wet and really tight, it's gotta be tight to stop the braid biting into the spool as you drag up on a fish. Try it, it really does the biz.
Hey Mate, Braid is stronger for its gauge over mono..
wich one is stronger mono or braid
Braid has no stretch or elastic memory, is very slick, and doesn't compress and grip the spool like mono does, causing the line to slip under moderate to heavy drag settings.
Hey Mate, make shore the roller is at the top when casting this way there is nothin for the line to catch on. regards Scotty Lyons
Good Video I have a question if you can answer. Im using a 7 foot pole, 12 pound test line and doing some catfishing. My problem is this referring to the line when i cast. Sometimes I can cast out pretty far but 9 out of 10 times the line is continuously catching itself underneath the rest of the line so my cast keeps stopping short. I dont know what the problem is cause theirs no twist or knots just the line keeps snagging on itself any remedies???
Great vid, keep em coming
