Trout Fishing Pennsylvania's Spring Creek
Central Pennsylvania is littered with famous trout streams. Meanwhile, few gain as much attention as Spring Creek. Many guys fish flies under a bobber. Meanwhile, we fished Balls O Fire salmon eggs and Fire Bait and found instant success while filming Pautzke Outdoors.
Ironically, most people told us Spring was one of the toughest places in the region to catch fish. However, we caught and released more than two dozen in a few short hours with our bait. Keep in mind, that’s only two anglers, and we only had time to fish about 50 yards of water before the rain sent us back to State College for lunch.
As most Pennsylvania anglers know, Spring Creek isn’t stocked by the PA Fish & Boat Commission. When it came to eggs the three eggs we brought to the bank (Pink Shrimp, Natural Deluxe, Gold Label) all caught fish, but the largest trout came off Feed Pellet Brown and Chartreuse Garlic Fire Bait. Head there with these baits and you’ll find similar success.

News Flash: Outiside of the pigs in the 'exhibition area', all of spring creek is wild browns. No stockies except at the dam in Talleyrand Park in Bellfonte where you are.

Ok for the record this is not Spring Creek Fishing this is a small strech of pet fish that was open for fishing (literally a block up stream you can feed pet fish from the bridge) I fish this steam almost everyday and let me tell you slinging power bait most places on spring you're gonna have a long day

Very nice video and very nice fish caught! You said spring creek was one of the best wild trout fisheries but then later mentioned that the feed pellet brown is what they are feed in the hatcheries, are they all stocked or is it a mix between wild trout and stocked trout?
I fish used to fish here all the time until they made the wading rule u cant fish unless u r in the water now I cant fish spring creek btw this is the only place I can walk to in under an hour
I'm not 100% sure, but I think the area you were fishing is off limits. As you mentioned in the video, the Fish Commission stocks a lot of big rainbows and golden bows for people to look at and feed right above where you were. I'm not exactly sure how far downstream the closed water extends, but I've fished Spring Creek for many years and have never seen anybody fish above where the manmade wall starts.
