Fall Redfish and Trout Bite is Heating Up! Hopedale Louisiana Fishing Report
Trip on 10/21/2021
Catching Redfish and Speckled trout (and bass) on a variety of artificial lures. These videos are posted within a couple days of the trip so it is more relevant for people that fish this area. That’s my excuse for the poor editing…
This time of year, the fishing can be so good and the places holding fish can be so numerous, it can be hard to decide what to do…too many options. I decided to start the day out not looking for a bunch of specked trout, but to see if I could catch a bigger one. I did end up catching a nice sized one, but then the big redfish (bigger than I like to keep) wouldn’t leave us alone. We fished the marsh on our way back to where I knew there was clean water and smaller slot reds we could sight cast to. Along the way we stopped and wore out some smaller keeper trout. This has been an especially good year in my opinion.
I fish mostly on the east side of the Mississippi River, from Lake Pontchartrain to Hopdale and Delecroix with artificial lures. Usually target Redfish and bass during the hot months and speckled trout in the late fall and winter. I’m always looking for videos that are in the same area and posted within a few days even if it’s rough edited like my videos. If you have a channel, post it up in the comments so I can check it out.

Hey man quick question. I just got a 14'x48" jon boat. What are some good places a noob can get some solid experience operating his boat while also putting a few fish in the boat?
Saturday the 30th oct. Do you think the wind has hurt the catch? We are wanting to go try any suggestions
