I just like you grew up watching Jimmy Houston. I actually got to meet him at an FLW weigh in on Beaver Lake in Rogers, AR. I have to say it was one of the best moments of my life. Thank you for your videos, I really enjoy watching them!

I remember as a little girl watching Jimmy on Sat. Mornings in OMAHA NEBR. where I was raised. I remember thinking even then what a nice looking man he was & that I hoped when I grew up that I'd end up being married to a man of his Great Looks & Qualities ….

I grew up watching Jimmy down home in Virginia. What a great man, and not just in the fishing department. I wish I could spend just 30 minutes talking to him, what a treasure!

My work day at home office starts around 4 am and ends around 7 pm. But my day starts even earlier, I get up, pray, hit my gym room then a cool shower. Makings of a great day! At 52 yrs old, blessed, healthy and very fortunate with the Good Lord leading me in the right direction.

What an awesome video! I went over and found Jimmy's Youyube channel many videos back, and shared a story with him about some tame deer we had growing up. two even ended up liking coming inside to lounge around with the family! lol! But our first was a female and she would bring her new fawns in to meet the family every year. as they grew up some stuck around and others did not. That started about 30+ years ago. I explained what usually happened around hunting season with them, their rutt season and like I said with their babes. Generation after generation tended to bring us at least one that would choose to stay close to home. He responded back, so cool!!
I grew up a big tomboy but I was never big on fishing but I have done some. I started my childhood in N.M. and do not recall knowing who Jimmy was then, but we moved to OK and saw some of his shows and he had a store …or was a part of one it has his name across the entire front… up near Lake Tenkiller, I guess it is still there outside of Tahlequah though it has been years since I have been in that direction so I'm not sure if It's still there…But what I'm trying to say is even so I can understand some not knowing who he is, especially younger generations!!
Young baseball players even those in their 20s and 30s now do not know, "Who's on First"., Basketball players with no clue who Wilt Chamberlin is, and some not knowing the Globe Trotters, etc., not knowing about Woodstock in many cases, etc.!!! A lot of things our parents and/or ourselves passed on to anyone under 35 unless they had grandparents and parents passing on their own childhood stories, sharing and watching sports together, and such, which seems more rare today than years ago, miss out on the whole last 50 years of general knowledge that was usually passed or shared between generations at some point!!
