Jon Boat Turned Into One Bad Fishing And Duck Hunting Machine : Duracraft 1648 Restore / Rebuild
If you have ever wanted to rebuild an older jon boat and turn it into a duck boat or fishing machine, this is a great video for you! It was mainly built for fishing the coastal saltwater flats and backwaters of the Chesapeake Bay but still did exceptionally well in freshwater as well. This step by step slideshow will walk you through the process I used to rebuild and customize a 1983 Duracraft Aluminum Jon Boat. I had a great local shop here (Martin Custom Marine) in Yorktown, Virginia do all the welding for me. They are masters in their craft specializing in towers and t-tops. Here’s a link to their page:
