Avoid those cities that are in northern Virginia and the Peoples Republic Of Charlottesville. The DC blight is heavy in those cities. Central Virginia is much more friendly and livable.

The fact that Richmond is on here, and Fredericksburg isn’t, betrays that this video was made by somebody who isn’t a Virginian.
I did not finish watching this, not much info on taxes, rental properties, vacancy rates. I don’t think this was done professionally.
Extending Metro to Tyson's Corner has led to huge increase in crime. Multiple shootings in the Malls. No parking. Horrible traffic. Overpriced. Lol
We moved to Fredericksburg when we retired 10 years ago. Worst decision we could have made. We lived in Greenville, SC for 30 years. Moved to VA to be closer to our daughter, son-in-law and grandson. They live in Arlington about 40 miles from us. That is the closet we could get with housing prices. Fredericksburg is 40 years behind what we left in Greenville. It is in the middle of that state along the I-95 corridor. It is not easy to get anywhere. No local tv news and to get a decent station on the radio, it comes from DC. A “local” newspaper that has little local news. And the weather is awful. It goes from winter to summer with very little spring and fall. The only area on the list that is halfway decent, is Charlottesville. But it more expensive than indicated in the video. If you are moving to VA, do your research and good luck.

Bon Air is not a town. It’s a part of Richmond and Chesterfield county. It’s a zip code, not an actual town or city.
So not one place in SW Virginia is livable? So Appalachia has nothing to offer? The mountain areas are all unlivable? Hope nobody takes this video seriously…..it misses a lot….

I don’t believe this is totally correct I live in Southwest Virginia all my life but two years , and there are some nice places to live I live in Bristol it’s a good small town also the county part is too and even Abingdon , Va is better . Maybe do a video on the best Southwest Va towns
Never live in these places: Norfolk, Portsmouth, and Newport news
Alexandra is trash but McLean is where it's at atleast for me that's where I met my wife because that's where she is from, and me being from the southern tier / western New York I think McLean is beautiful and Reston is also beautiful in my opinion…

I just rewatched this. I think they got they’re information from back in the 1950’s. They sure never looks at a map, or read anything about Virginia. BTW, does anyone actually live in Tyson’s? We just ate and shopped there…people lived in McLean or Falls Church.
But the demokkkrat liberal's in some towns our changing everything..like lee high way..is now Fairfax Blvd. And Jefferson Davis Highway is now Richmond High way..is some county's .😡
